3 Surprising Tasks For Virtual Assistants

Virtual assistants can go above and beyond your business and accomplish these tasks for you.

In the first part of this series, we gave you 6 things that virtual assistants can do best. Those were pretty generic and focused on getting things done in a business or company setting.

But did you know that VAs can go above and beyond for you, and do things that are even outside the scope of a business? Depending on your agreement and the expectations you have set out for your new remote assistant, they can definitely accomplish tasks that are not completely connected to your company.

Travel planning

Heading on a trip with your family, friends or on your own; or maybe you need to jet off to a far-off destination to finally seal the deal with an investor? Creating an itinerary, plotting the activities for the day, booking hotel rooms and flight tickets, and just about anything travel-related can be done by a virtual assistant. You can simply give the details of your upcoming trip to your VA, and before you know it, you’re ready to hop on the plane and travel with ease.

Receptionist duties

When you’re finally on that long-awaited vacation, you wouldn’t want your phone to keep reminding you of the work you temporarily left behind. The perfect getaway does not involve getting calls or emails from clients or your staff, right? To remedy that, you can have your virtual assistant be your representative for the time being - that is receiving your calls, and keeping you up-to-date on what’s going on while you are away. Think of your VA as your temporary replacement wheel that’s going to keep your business going.

Personal errands

You will be surprised at the number of things that you can get accomplished at a click of a button! Accomplishing errands becomes even more convenient if you delegate these tasks to your virtual assistant. You can get your bills paid on time, do your grocery shopping, book a babysitter, and buy things for the company (or for yourself) in a more convenient way through your trusty VA.

Remember that before you start giving these interesting tasks to your virtual assistants, you have to ensure that you are on the same page in terms of the specific role in your company. They have to be aware of their responsibilities from the very start, whether these involve your business or otherwise.
